Fund-A-Thon is here! Our annual grassroots fundraising campaign is one of our largest fundraisers. Our goal is to collectively raise $25,000 to fund abortions.

This year we are doing things differently. We are are hosting a Queerlesque show at the Patterson-Appleton Arts Center in Denton, TX called Denim & Diamonds!  Featuring performances from some of DFW’s premiere drag, burlesque and queer artists, our fund-a-thon will be a night of celebration, raffles, dancing, contests and more as we round out our biggest fundraising event of the year!

FAQs

1. Fundraising takes place NOW through May 31, 2024. 
2. Individuals looking to participate in Fund-a-thon can do so as an individual, as a member of a team, a team captain, or by simply attending our event on May 31st. Click here for more information.
3. Our end of Fund-a-thon event is Denim & Diamonds, a drag and burlesque celebration show happening Friday, May 31st 2024 at the Patterson-Appleton Arts Center located at 400 E Hickory Street Denton, TX 76201. Doors are at 8:00pm and the show begins at 9:00pm. 
4. Attendees are encouraged to dress in-theme! Denim and Diamonds means western, glamor AND western glamor! Bring your most dazzling fringe, your most rhinestoned getups and tallest ten-gallon hats. We will be hosting a costume contest during the show with prizes for our winners. 
5. All registered teams and their team members can attend Denim & Diamonds on May 31st for FREE! Note: Must be 18 or older to attend the event. 
6. An array of raffle prizes will be featured, with participating team-specific prizes for our participating fundraisers. A smaller prize area dedicated to our attending guests who weren’t able to participate as an individual or team-member fundraiser will be available. 
7. Teams that raise more than $1000 receive an additional 20 raffle tickets to be shared amongst their team members at the Denim & Diamonds raffle on May 31st. 
8. Teams that raise more than $2000 receive an additional 20 raffle tickets to be shared amongst their team AND a photo with the Denim & Diamonds cast at the end of the show. 
9. Free parking is available at the PAAC building, with public overflow parking available on East Hickory Street and surrounding public areas. 
10. This venue is ADA compliant with ground-level access. 
11. The provided venue bathrooms will be all-gender bathrooms for the duration of the event. 
12. Seated and standing-room options will be available at the event.  
13. Individual ticket sales for attendees looking to simply attend and not participate in fundraising must purchase their ticket by Thursday, May 30th at 3:00pm. Additional tickets may be purchased at the door of the event venue starting at 8:00 pm. 

Rules

1. Teams must be registered by May 27th to qualify for benefits including free entry to the end of Fund-a-thon show, Denim & Diamonds, on May 31st. 
2. Teams must raise a minimum of $20 per team member in order to attend Denim & Diamonds free of charge.
3. Teams who are registered but do not raise any funds will be asked to pay the entry fee of $20 per team member at the Denim & Diamonds show on May 31st.
4. Denim & Diamonds is a drag and burlesque show. Event attendees and registered team members must be 18 years of age or older on or by Friday, May 31st 2024. 
5. All attendees are expected to behave responsibly and respectfully while at Denim & Diamonds. Absolutely no touching of the performers without explicit consent. Attendees are asked to drink responsibly while on-site. Absolutely no expressions of racism, homophobia, transphobia, fatphobia or any other harmful actions. Attendees who appear to be participating in this behavior will be asked to leave the event. We reserve the right to allow or deny entry to anyone.
