We’re back with another ActiviTEA, this time in honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Read on for more information about upcoming events, how to get involved and more.
Sexual Assault Awareness Month
April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM). The abortion ban in Texas does not allow exceptions for survivors of rape or incest. A study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association showed that during the first sixteen months after Texas’ abortion ban, there were an estimated 26,313 rape-related pregnancies.
Recovering from sexual violence is a process that looks different for everybody. Healing takes time.
